ETHICS IN INFORMATION USE
The "Ethics in Information Use" module is part of the Information Literacy course, designed to equip students with the knowledge and skills necessary to navigate the complex landscape of information responsibly. This course emphasizes the importance of using information ethically in academic, professional, and personal settings. Students will explore topics such as plagiarism, copyright laws, proper citation techniques, fair use, and the identification of misinformation.
Through lectures, group activities, case studies, and hands-on practice, students will develop critical thinking skills to assess the credibility of sources, use digital tools to manage citations, and uphold academic integrity. The course also incorporates modern technologies such as Turnitin, Zotero, Kahoot, and online fact-checking tools, making it both practical and engaging.
By the end of the course, students will have the capability to demonstrate responsible information use and apply ethical principles when engaging with digital and non-digital resources.
